TOLL

Updated June 2026 · Figures and timings can change, so confirm locally before you set out.

The Ganga Expressway is Uttar Pradesh's longest expressway so far, a six-lane greenfield corridor that links Meerut in the west to Prayagraj in the east. Phase one was inaugurated on 29 April 2026 and immediately changed the maths of road travel across the state, cutting a 12 to 13 hour drive down to about 6 to 7 hours. If you are planning a trip, the toll is the first number you will want to know.

1

How the tolling works

Unlike older highways with fixed plazas every few kilometres, the Ganga Expressway uses a closed, distance-based system. Entry is free and your vehicle is logged digitally at the entry point. When you leave, the system measures how far you travelled and deducts the toll automatically. There are 14 toll points along the route, with the two main plazas at Meerut and Prayagraj and entry-exit booths in between.
